By providing an affordable, transparent, and internationally open awards program, we aim to give both independent creators the opportunity to be recognized on equal terms.

The Open Podcast Awards are built on a peer review system. Every creator who enters the competition also becomes part of the judging community by reviewing a small number of podcasts from other categories. This ensures that no participant evaluates podcasts they are directly competing against, creating a fair, balanced, and community-driven process.

Each podcast is independently reviewed by multiple participants using the same transparent judging criteria. Reviewers provide both scores and constructive written feedback, giving every creator valuable insights alongside the chance to win an international award. By sharing the responsibility of judging, the Open Podcast Awards create one of the largest and most open podcast peer reviews in the world—where recognition is earned through the collective evaluation of the podcasting community itself.
