The term “lean startup” was coined in the early 2000s, by Eric Ries who adapted Lean concepts to the business startup environment.
While conventional wisdom advises startups to develop their products in secret until they have reached a certain maturity, the lean startup approach encourages testing products with real customers as early as possible. The feedbacks are then utilized in an early stage to adapt plans on the way forward. This approach can drastically increase speed and success rates for startups.
Wish you a great lean startup in the new year!
